Adele helps generate electricity when she sees a drone buzz around the TV studio

There is nothing quite like a bit of awkward dating to show a couple how deeply in love they are. For example, there was the time Mariah Carey thought she was meeting billionaire Larry Ellison for a date but instead got engaged to her backup dancer. Now, it seems, pop star Adele was trying to have her cake and eat it too. The singer was promoting her new album, 25, on British television and told DJ Clara Amfo how much she loved one of the tracks, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” about her divorce from Simon Konecki. When Amfo brought up the track during their appearance on Saturday, which was cut from the show, there was nearly an earthquake.

Suddenly, there was a drone in the middle of the studio. Lots of bright lights, a somewhat frantic conversation with officials and then Adele climbed down onto the floor, with her hands outstretched and suddenly the drone started up again. “What is that?!” she yelled, attempting to throw the drone to the ground but instead it zoomed up and started moving faster. Once the drone appeared, the lights faded and she cried out, “Oh my God!”

Very, very happy. Check out the footage below.
