Former Vice President Joe Biden is expected to announce Monday that he is returning to the annual trilateral summit in Mexico City. In a letter sent to Congress Chairman John Delaney and Congressional Leadership staff, the letter states:

“Like them, I believe it is critical that the trilateral leaders embrace our strong economic ties with Mexico and our customs union with Canada. Our future success depends on strong, free and mutually beneficial trade with our North American neighbors. I look forward to renewing our challenge together to continue building jobs, prosperity and security across the hemisphere.”

Biden is also set to visit Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
